Is this better than poly filter?

I am not sure if you are referring to poly filter pads in general or if you are referring to the product poly-filter. Our Premium dual density pad is designed to be used continuously to trap free floating particles from aquarium water producing crystal clear water. The poly-filter is a specialty filter pad treated to remove certain chemicals and organics from water. We recommend our Premium Dual Density pad to trap particles from the water and activated carbon (like our Premium Activated Carbon) to eliminate odor and remove the yellowish tint (organics) from your aquarium water.
