Cloudy or Murky Water

Typically, your aquarium water should be clear within 48 hours, if the cause of the cloudiness comes from free-floating particles. There are many other causes of cloudy water. FilterFirst and our polishing pads work by trapping floating particles in your aquarium water. If your water is not clear by tomorrow then the cloudy water may be caused by ammonia, infusoria bacteria, over feeding or algae bloom, etc. We have articles on our Aquatic Experts website to help troubleshoot and fix cloudy water.
