Our polishing pad may help with green water, but algae multiply very rapidly. The Polishing Pad can clog up very rapidly with particles including algae and may require cleaning or rinsing ofter. We have several articles on our website that can help with green algae in our learning center. I can not give you the hyperlinks because Amazon will remove them. You may need to purchase an aquarium algaecide.
