Will this work on a red sea reefer system?

We have personally tested these socks in the sliding shelf filter sock holder. Our filter sock material is thick, and our plastic ring is slightly too large to drop through the hole in the shelf. For the sliding shelf inside the sump we tested our filter sock did not drop down low enough to work in the red sea reefer system.
