Can these be used to hold carbon as well?

Carbon enclosed in a fine mesh bag can be dropped into these very durable filter socks. There is a plastic handle attached to the ring of the sock but there is still plenty of room to drop in a bag of carbon. Carbon sealed in a mesh bags makes it easy to remove when cleaning the filter socks.
